Sophomores schedule your Junior Check-in Meetings with you Counselor.
Hutchinson Health and the Hutchinson High School have partnered to offer in-school Substance Use Services for teens in need! If your teen is struggling with tobacco, alcohol, or substance use they may benefit from this program. This service is free to students, as it’s completely funded by a grant. The service is confidential, and nothing will be documented in the student’s school or medical record. Teens can meet one-to-one with a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), once per week, as long as needed during school hours. Sessions are focused on brief screening, education (risks associated with substance use), interventions such as coping with triggers and cravings, finding motivation for change, building a positive peer network, and more.
If your interested in learning more about this program, or referring your son or daughter, please connect with a Hutchinson High School Counselor, or call Hutchinson Health Mental Health Clinic, asking for the school LADC (320-484-4610).
