TIPS:

*If you complete an online application, please let Mrs. Prato know what you have applied for and that you have submitted it.

*Please turn in scholarships to Mrs. Prato a few days before they are due.  I will mail them in with the other required items.

* It is important that you - THE STUDENT - complete these scholarships to the best of your ability.  It is important that you write as "you".  It is ok to get help from parents/teachers/counselor, but be sure that you are the one writing the applications.

* Please make appointments to see me to get help with scholarships.  I would be happy to help you, but I can't always "drop everything" when you need me.

*  Even if the scholarships are online, ALWAYS get someone else to edit and proofread your scholarship application.  Many organizations won't consider your application if there are typos!

*  Always check with your college and college website for scholarships.  MANY colleges have their own foundations and scholarship organizations and have their own applications for you.  Colleges also have financial aid offices and they are there to help you!
