About Me

This is my twenty-fifth year teaching at Rahn School of Arts & Technology. I taught first grade for many years before I started in second grade. I feel so lucky to work with such wonderful students. Rahn is a great place and I truly enjoy being around such enthusiastic students, parents, and staff.

I grew up in Bloomington and started my family there. My husband and I moved our family to Lakeville when our oldest child started school. I have three kids, Jake (22), Olivia (20) and Grace (15) who is in tenth grade. We have 5 year old yellow lab named Jack who we love dearly so we adopted two more puppies this summer named Tucker and Cooper.

I graduated from St. Catherine University with a degree in Elementary Education. I was lucky enough to complete some of my student teaching at Rahn and was hired the next fall to teach first grade. I completed my Masters in the Art of Teaching degree at St. Mary's, and I have continued to further my education throughout my career.

In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work to help students have a growth mindset. It is important to have a sense of community among students where teamwork is valued. I believe that great things can happen when we work together!
