PHILOSOPHY

We believe that developmentally appropriate physical education is education for the future. It is an integral part of the total education of the child.

Physical education promotes learning the values of community, teamwork, cooperation, respect for rules, and respect for the diversity of others.

Physical education increases the physical competence, health-related fitness, self-esteem, and enjoyment of physical activity for all students.

Physical education teaches students the value of regular physical activity and how to incorporate it into their lives on a daily basis.

MISSION STATEMENT

The physical education program of the Eastern Carver County School District challenges each student to understand and demonstrate the skills necessary to lead a physically active life.
