Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the 2024-25 Chaska High School Wind Symphony! Please read all of the following information carefully so that you can submit a complete audition. 

This year, I will be having you submit your audition components to me electronically. Please record yourself playing through each of the elements below (separately). You should have the videos in a Google Drive folder - please send me the link to your folder (and change the viewing rights so that I can watch them). Please introduce yourself, especially for those of you that I don't know yet. :) You need to have all of these auditions submitted to me (becklert@district112.org) by Friday, April 19th.

Please note that you will need to prepare the following elements for your audition:

• 1. Chromatic Scale (your full range - your lowest note up to your highest note and then back down).

  • Please remember that you can use a fingering/position chart to play your chromatic scale. Here is a good resource if you need access to a fingering/position chart. 

• 2. Concert Db major scale (please see your individual scale sheet below).

• 3. Concert G major scale (please see your individual scale sheet below)

• 4. Excerpt #1 from Darius Milhaud's Suite Francaise  (find the correct excerpt sheet below) .

• 5. Excerpt #2 from Shelley Hanson's Seis Manuel (find the correct excerpt sheet below) . 

• All of the 5 components above should be recorded separately - Thanks!
