Simulation design should correspond to plot and/or field experimental treatments. One simulation is the representative of one treatment of a pot and/or field experiment at the lowest testing factor level. Replicates are not considered in a simulation study.
For example, the total simulations will be 12 corresponding to four main plots multiplied by three subplots if one field experiment has four main plots, three subplots, and three replications. We suppose that all factors except for the ones being tested are the same across main plots and subplots in a given experiment unless something else is specifically indicated.
Therefore, soil, weather, and crop management are the same for all simulations of one experiment, excluding the factors being tested.
