Studio Art

What is this course all about?

Studio Art is a foundations course. This is the base for all other art classes to continue from. It is also the course that anyone would take if they needed an art or music requirement fulfilled for graduation. Anyone in grades 9-12 can take Studio Art. The class is based upon four main areas: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, and Sculpture. We will spend approximately 10 weeks on each area.

What do I have to do?

You will be expected to complete all projects on time. You will have four unit exams and a final exam. Your final projects for each unit will count as a test grade as well. You will receive a grade everyday for participation, this will be a number grade 0-3, based on the effort you put into each class.

Grades are calculated as follows:

Exams= 30%

Projects= 40%

Participation= 30%
