• Individual student responsibility in performing music (taking turns, listening, etc...)

• Identify, read and perform rhythms

• Improvise/compose rhythms

• Compose, improvise and performing using both major and/or minor scales

•  Identify characteristics of each of the instrument families

• Aurally identify the differences between major and minor tonalities

• Aurally and visually identify a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles

• Apply form structures from previous grade levels

• Identify and apply different dynamic markings
