Chromebook Troubleshooting

Having trouble with your Chromebook? Follow these steps!


STEP 1:

Try troubleshooting your Chromebook issues on your own first. Mrs. Bevan created this document, Chromebook Troubleshooting, that gives you step-by-step directions to solve your Chromebook issues.


STEP 2:

Submit your tech issue using this Gregory Remote Learning Help Desk Google form. Between 8:00am - 3:00pm, a Gregory staff member will follow-up with you and provide support. Please note that this form is not only to request tech support, but for academic and social-emotional support, too. You can even ask a question to a staff member, if needed.


STEP 3:

If your Chromebook issue cannot be solved with Steps 1 or 2, parents/guardians should submit a IT Helpdesk ticket following these steps:

    • Parents, not students, should send an email to support@ipsd.org and CC esther_bevan@ipsd.org
    • Please include the following information in the email:
      • Student first & last name
      • Student ID number
      • Gregory Middle School
      • Chromebook asset tag number (on the bottom of the device)
      • a description of the issue
        • please do not say "broken"; try to be as specific as possible
        • you can also take pictures and attach them to the email
      • You will receive a confirmation email from our IT Department.
      • Mrs. Bevan, the LMC Director, or Ms. Mayer, the building IT Specialist, will email letting families know when the replacement device will be ready for pick up.
