The summer of 2017 was the first year in ten that Saint James’ was not represented on mission to Ecuador. George and Wendy, after completing nine grace-filled missions, have turned their energies to family and other ministries. The 2017 Summer group was small and effective, carrying on the work in both Puyo, at mission church, L’Ascension and La Mision San Pedro, el Paraiso de Pupusa, begun by the previous mission groups.

"Wendy and I would like to join our Ecuador Mission Team in thanking you for your prayers, your financial and spiritual support, and for the two suitcases of clothing, toys and school supplies, you gathered for the children we delivered last year. And a special “Thank You,” to Father Cannon for the donation of his beloved Ciborium, now being used in L’Ascension as he wished. We must also thank the LHCR Foundation Grant for their continued support for the children of Ecuador. The joy you bring to all we serve there is a gift beyond measure."
