Biography

Mrs. Kylee Winn is in her sixth year at the Independence Community School District. She teaches Culinary Techniques I, II & III, Parenting, Home Design and Real Living. Before earning her Bachelor's degree, Kylee earned her Associate of Applied Sciences Degree from Kirkwood Community College in 2007. She then earned her Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and Studies from Iowa State University in 2010. Before being employed at Independence she taught at Cedar Rapids Prairie for 5 years and was the Senior Class sponsor.

Kylee grew up in Center Point, IA and graduated from Center Point-Urbana High School in 2005. While she attended CPU she was involved in many activities including volleyball, basketball, softball, student council, choir, and show choir.

She and her husband Jared live in Walker with their three sons Macoy 11, Jordy 8, and Crosby 6. Kylee and Jared stay busy with their three boys and all of their activities.Kylee's family enjoys cheering on the Packers, the Iowa Hawkeyes and of course the Independence Mustangs!
