Welcome to our Library Page!  My name is, Sabrina Baker,  I am the Library Media Specialist. 

My goal is to help your child choose "Just Right Books" so they can grow as a reader.  

A little about Me:

I have been with Carter County Schools for 25 years.  I earned my Bachelor's in Elementary Education from ETSU.  Later, I earned my Master's in Instructional Media & Technology with a concentration in School Library also from ETSU.  My final degree earned was an Education Specialist from LMU. 

I have served in several roles in my tenure with Carter County.  Most recently, I was the Librarian and Assistant Principal at Valley Forge Elementary.  I also taught grades K, 3, 4, & 5 as well as Technology Coach in my early years of teaching.  My first year of teaching was in a One Room school in rural Montana.  I had 7 students in 7 different grades K-8.

I am excited to be at Happy Valley Elementary and help your child learn to LOVE Reading!
