Hello, I am currently entering my 24th year of teaching 5th graders in Huron City Schools!  I can't imagine doing anything else!  I enjoy reading everything I can get my hands or eyes on!  I am also fascinated by student writing and hope to inspire others to become creative writers!

  I am a graduate of Malone University in Canton, Ohio.  I have a dual degree in Elementary Education and Education of the Handicapped (specific learning disabilities).  In addition, I have a Master's Degree from Walden University in Elementary Reading and Literacy.  I believe education is a life-long process and am always willing to try new things.  

  Outside of the classroom, I have the responsibility of raising my three children, a slobbering Great Dane, and a blind cat.  My son is a junior, my oldest daughter is a freshman, and my youngest is a first grader this year!  I am married and live with my husband in Norwalk.  We enjoy playing games, watching movies, going to sporting events, and Friday pizza night!  Things that bring me joy are acts of kindness, purple pens, chocolate, cool stickers, lilacs, and Scholastic Book box day!  My goal (still) is to write a book someday and make enough money to return to Disney World.
