Consequences: Classroom teachers and special area teachers use a program called Class DoJo to record your child's behaviors throughout the day. The students gain or lose points based on their behavior. If your child has negative points at recess they will walk that number of laps. I pay out "Hawk Bucks" each Friday according to the number of positive points your child has earned that week. They may use those "Bucks" to purchase items from the school or me. These would include free recess coupons, no homework coupons, no morning work coupons, pencils, water bottles, etc. Totals are reset after "Pay Day". I also post TONS of pictures to DoJo throughout the week! You can message me through DoJo as well. Please do not punish your child for points they lose unless you see a pattern. They may go up and down in points throughout the day. My goal is for them to self monitor their own behavior and make the appropriate changes. If your child has 0 points that means they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Anything above 0 is great, but not required. I tell them as long as they are "positive and not negative" they are doing just fine! I will send home a password/code so you can log in and see your child's behaviors, my messages, and tons of pictures! :)
