Welcome to my teacher website for the 2023-2024 school year!

Welcome to the new school year. I am very excited to be part of your child's 5th grade experience at Howland Intermediate School (HIS). Our goal is to use every child's unique learning style to develop academic, social, and emotional achievement throughout the school year. Throughout the year, we will be covering the fifth grade curriculum at a steady pace, and we are anticipating success from every child with the help from myself, other teachers, and you, their parent/guardian. Ultimately, we want to build upon your child's strengths and strengthen your child's weaknesses. Patience and understanding will be the most important part of the year. We will get through this together! Please don't hesitate to contact me with any concerns you have.

Math Mission Statement

The Howland Intermediate School Math Department promotes student growth by helping each student learn to master mathematical concepts, connect to real world application, relate to other academic disciplines, persevere in problem solving, attend to procedural precision, and maintain computational fluency in an effort to provide students the opportunity to succeed now in academia and in their future pursuits.

Instructional fee @ Howland Intermediate School is $35.00. Payments can be made at the Main office or online at Payforit.com. Chromebook Fee is $30.00.
