Hello Math Students and Families!
For my class you need:
Pencils (if you have mechanical....make sure you have lead)
Paper (Loose leaf works best in a 3 ring binder as you'll get handouts that are hole punched)
Your Book: Red for 7th grade
Your Calculator. (We recommend students get the TI-30XIIS as it is easy to use and can be used in regular 6th, 7th, & 8th grade...up until Algebra II.) Please have your calculator ASAP. Contact me if you cannot get a calculator!!!!! At times you will use your calculator in Science and Health & Wellness classes as well. You will use it up through 9th grade.
To find Homework or What We Did in Class:
Simply click on your child's class listed on the top of this page. Any handouts or copy of notes can be found in the Google Classroom.
BRUSH UP ON BASIC SKILLS or MOVE AHEAD: This year we will continue to use Exact Path along with daily lessons. Students will work at their own pace in this program.
GET AN ALERT IF YOUR CHILD HAS A POOR GRADE OR MISSING ASSIGNMENT:
**First, make sure you have an account set up in ParentAccess so you can see your child's grades at any time. Contact the Guidance Office if you do not.
We have added a new feature that allows parents to create "Alerts". You can now set your alerts to notify you when your child has not completed an assignment or has received a low grade. Follow these steps below.
Step 1: On the "HOME" screen click on "ALERTS" located on the left side of the screen.
Step 2: On the "ALERTS" screen select the type of alerts you want to receive and then click "UPDATE".
Step 3: Click on "SET LOW MARK SETTINGS" and then the GRADE drop-down list to select a grade. If you want to be notified if your child receives a "B" or lower, select "B". Click "UPDATE".
An email will be sent to your account associated with your ParentAccess.
ParentAccess will be checking for missing assignments and low grades every day!
Online Textbook: If a student forgets their math book at school, it can be accessed through CLEVER. Unless a student is brand new, they should all know how to access it.
