So now #DARPA / #ARPA ... Who did come up with the name ?
In a 1975 conversation , LP #Gise mentioned that he believes Lt. Col. George Brown, USAF, a military assistant in, Holaday's office, actually came up with the name "ARPA".

Jeff Bezos' grandfather left Sandia Corporation between 1952 and 1953, moving to New York City where he joined the "Purchasing and Traffic Division of the Western Electric Company".

Very hard to find his records at Western Electric ... But did notice that in March of 1973, it appears that his retirement was being announced for that year (1973) at Sandia Labs, meaning he re-joined after leaving in 1953.

Metadata - Since his 10 year anniversary was announced in the Sandia newsletter on July 1965, that means he rejoined Sandia sometime before then. We dont know if he would have service credit for his time before his initial departure.
