Youth Support Workers, various locations and hours.
Role:
Assisting in the delivery of youth work sessions for 8 - 14 year olds within youth centres and detached settings including Friday evening (typically finishing by 9.30pm).
Occasional weekend and residential trips may take place however most clubs run during the week.
Essential:
Experience working in a youth work or educational setting.
Willingness to support in delivering sessions, planning and supervising sessional staff and volunteers.
Able to run and engage young people in a wide range of activities including sports, outdoor/ woodland activities, arts and crafts etc.
Willingness to assist in the running outdoor/ detached sessions when required.
Comfortable talking to young people about a wide range of issues that may affect them.
Desirable:
A good understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding in a youth work environment.
A good understanding of the issues that may be affecting young people.
Contract
Pay: £11.44 per hour plus paid holiday.
Hours are on a year round basis, however we are open to discussions about flexible working to fit around other work and childcare.
Start date ASAP on an initial 6 month contract, however there are likely to be options to extend or apply for similar roles before the end of this period.
