KARATE RECORDER 1

Holy Infant 4th and 5th Grade students learn recorder using this method. and earn " belts" for playing songs correctly.

 There is also a Field trip to the Link-Up concert 4th and 5th grades attend in the Spring,  that is playing recorder and singing with the St. Louis Symphony.

Practicing for 10 minutes 3 OR 4 TIMES A WEEK, is expected, and a playing test must be passed to achieve your "belt". Most students test before the school day begins, or when I am not teaching a class.

KARATE RECORDER 2

5th grade students continue with this method a second year, and expand their knowledge of playing recorder and understanding music notation.  Students can practice along with a special online player. We also prepare for the Link-Up Concert.
