6+1 Traits of Writing
The 6 + 1 traits of writing are designed to help you create the best-possible piece of writing. Notice that they are very similar to the requirements of the PARCC writing rubrics, both the essay version and the narrative version (and they are really aligned with the NJASK 6-point Writing Rubric). If you are doing any sort of essay-style writing, you should also be thinking about using MLA-style citations and bibliographies.
