In English as a Second Language, we will be working to build you child's ability to speak, listen, read and write both conversationally and academically in English. To be successful in the classroom, students need proficiency in both conversational English and academic language. Below are some links to help you stay informed. Please contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments that you may have.

• • WIDA - all entering English Language Learners (ELL) must take an entrance exam designed by WIDA. In addition, all ELLs must take the WIDA proficiency test each spring. This website gives you some information about these tests.
