We will be reading and focusing on a story each week and have vocab and comprehension assessments on Friday.  Vocab words will come home on Mondays to study! This week’s story is A Girl Who Loved Wild Horses.  We will be talking about main events and central message. 

We will be talking about adverbs this week. 

We are starting on Topic 2.  This topic deals with multiplication and focuses on the sets of facts.  Please continue to practice your multiplication facts so that you can gain your Multiplication Mastery! A letter about our Multiplication sundaes is coming home today! 

We are starting our unit on rocks and minerals.  This unit lasts quite a while because we do some exploring and investigating of rocks and minerals in the classroom! 

We will be starting concept 62.  This concept deals with the bossy R sound (-ur).  Students have an info page at the front of their binder to help them practice this concept throughout the week.  We will have a pretest over words that use this concept on Thursday.  Final test is on Friday.  If your child gets a 100%, they do not have to take the final test on Friday! a
