We will be reading and focusing on a story each week and have vocab and comprehension assessments on Friday.  Vocab words will come home on Mondays to study! We will be reading This week’s story is On a Beam of Light.   We will be talking about audience and point of view. 

We will be learning about abstract nouns this week. 

We are starting Topic 16.  This topic deals with area and perimeter, so we will be continuing to practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing! 

We are finishing our unit on energy. We will have a test over this topic on Thursday, March 26th.  Starting next week, we will be using science and social studies time to prepare for the spring state tests. 

We will be starting concept 73.  This concept deals with the vowel teams au and aw.  Students have an info page at the front of their binder to help them practice this concept throughout the week.  We will have a pretest over words that use this concept on Thursday.  Final test is on Friday.  If your child gets a 100%, they do not have to take the final test on Friday!
