We will be reading and focusing on a story each week and have vocab and comprehension assessments on Friday.  Vocab words will come home on Mondays to study! We will be reading This week’s story is Last Stop on Market Street. We will be talking about central message and mood/using our senses when reading. 

We will be talking about compound words. 

We are starting Topic 5, which deals with multiplying and dividing within 100.  Once again, knowing our multiplication facts will be extremely important for the kiddos.  Please continue to practice them. 

We are finishing our unit on states of matter.  We will have a test on this topic Thursday, February 19th.  Study guides were sent home this week! 

We will be starting concept 68.  This concept deals with the 3rd of the 3 Great Rules, changing y to i.  Students have an info page at the front of their binder to help them practice this concept throughout the week.  We will have a pretest over words that use this concept on Thursday.  Final test is on Friday.  If your child gets a 100%, they do not have to take the final test on Friday!
