Mrs. Morgan

My name is Jessie Morgan. I am currently the Dean of Students and Athletic Director at Lake Placid Middle School. This is my ninth year in education. The last eight years I spent in the classroom teaching English Language Arts. I am an avid reader and enjoy spending time with my family, reading a good book, at the beach, or watching football.

I am a graduate of Avon Park High School. I then went on to continue my education by getting my Associates of Arts degree from South Florida State College. I then transferred to Florida Gulf Coast University to pursue my Bachelors Degree in English Literature with a minor in Education. It is there that I truly found the genres in which I love to read. Upon graduation from FGCU, I began my teaching career here in Highlands County. I then decided that I wanted to have a larger impact than just within my classroom. I then began working towards my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership in hopes of obtaining an Assistant Principal position. I have since completed my Masters Degree and am continuing to gain experiences and knowledge through leadership opportunities until the perfect position arises.
