FIELD TriP

Our first field trip will be next month on October 8th! We will be going to Henricus Park located at 251 Henricus Park Road Chester, Va. We will be receiving a presentation on the People of the River: Powhatan Indians. Buses will depart at 9:15 am and return at 1:15 pm. The permission slip was sent via student folder on September 9th and is due back by OCTOBER 2ND. It costs $7.00 per person and $9.00 per adult. We can only accept cash or money order- NO CHECKS.

A little about Ms. Guidry

My name is Elizabeth Guidry, and I am thrilled to be teaching second grade at Lakeside Elementary this year! I graduated from Longwood University with my undergraduate degree in elementary and middle school education, and my graduate degree in special education. Go Lancers! I began my career teaching small group reading at Ridge Elementary School, which is also in Henrico County. I joined the Lakeside team last school year teaching second grade, and I am excited to be teaching second grade again this year.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking and hanging out with my family, friends, and two wonderful puppies, Emelie and Daisy. I look forward to a wonderful year! When there are new posts to the blog they will appear here. In addition, classroom pictures, the calendar, contact information, and more.

Ladies and gentlemen I am so sorry we are not able to end our school year together. I was so excited to share those end of yea memories with you, but I'm happy to take any path that leads to you, your families and our community becoming and staying healthy. Lets continue to fight this virus by washing our hands and engaging in social distancing. I will try to update this website weekly with new things that you can do at home to keep learning.
