Medical Biology and Scientific Research are the two CMS freshmen science classes.
Medical Biology is an honors biology class that is an intro to biology and covers a broad range of topics. One of the goals of the Medical Biology class is to prepare students for AP classes by exposing students to many lab investigations and having students apply their knowledge to real world situations.
The biology class is taught in conjunction with the Scientific Research class. The Scientific Research course is an introductory class to writing a scientific research paper. Students will be taught how to write the proper components of a research paper in addition to learning how to do the actual research, record data and analyze the data.
