Video: What is the Reader Pen  

The C Pen ReaderPen is a portable text-to-speech device that scans printed text.    It  is both a portable and digital tool that makes accessing print-based text possible.   It is a powerful reading support because: Mid-Tech – meaning no setup so children are reading on their own within minutes. It builds independence, confidence in reading and empowers learning. Although we live in a digital world, print based-text exists both at home and in the classroom and can prove challenging for our struggling readers, students with specific Learning Disabilities in Reading or Dyslexia.

No WIFI requirement – the device is stand alone, so no need for internet connection.   Built in rechargeable Battery – can be used anywhere anytime.    Distraction free – Unlike using a tablet or smartphone to support reading, this device is designed specifically to support reading and keeps the child focused on reading Dictionary lookup – Instantly access definitions from multiple dictionaries including the Oxford Primary Dictionary 2hrs Screen time limit – The American Heart Foundation recommend a maximum of 2hrs screen time per day (2018).
