Indigenous Voices
We are pleased to announce that our school has received a grant from the Halton Learning Foundation to expand and update our library collection with resources by Indigenous authors and illustrators.
This project focuses on ensuring inclusivity and authentic representation for our elementary students and their families. By introducing these positive, modern, and historically accurate stories, we aim to:
Encourage open, meaningful family discussions.
Build cultural empathy and understanding.
Provide young readers with honest, historically true content.
This expanded collection is a beautiful step forward in creating a more inclusive, supportive, and responsive learning environment for our entire school community.
