My Name is Amy Harvey. I was born and raised in Hoke County and graduated from Hoke County High. After high school, I couldn't wait to go to the beautiful town of Boone, NC for four awesome years at Appalachian State University. At Appalachian State, I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. I began teaching third grade right after graduating and absolutely loved it. All throughout college and my first years in the classroom, I realized how much I loved reading with my students and wanted to share this passion with more than my 20 kids everyday. I then pursued a Master's Degree in Library Science at East Carolina University. Thankfully, with the wonderful world of technology, I have never set foot on ECU's campus because I was able to do everything through distance education.
