University of Hawaii Presidential Scholarship
Deadline: January 15, 2020
Presidential Scholars receive a full-time, 12 credit per semester tuition waiver for two years of undergraduate study. All scholars receive $4000 a year (stipend) and a one-time travel grant of $2000.
Requirements: Students who meet the following are eligible to apply -
Apply for admissions as a classified full-time junior to UH Manoa
Must be a junior by the end of the Spring semester. Spring credits may be counted toward credits earned. Spring grades will be reviewed once the semester has ended.
Bona fide resident of Hawaii
A cumulative 3.7 college work grade point average
Evidence of superior academic achievement or creative endeavor
Preference will be given to incoming Juniors transferring from a University of Hawaii Community College to UH Manoa.

Udall Undergraduate Scholarship

The Udall Foundation offers its 2020 Udall Scholarship, a merit-based award for college sophomores and juniors attending Tribal Colleges and two- or four-year universities. Applicants must demonstrate leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to Native American nations or to the environment. 55 Scholars receive up to $7,000 each for educational expenses and a trip to Tucson, AZ for Scholar Orientation (August 2020), where they will meet like-minded scholars, develop new skills, and network with professionals in the environment and Tribal affairs. The award also includes life-time membership in the Udall alumni community—a vibrant professional organization offering job, internship, and academic opportunities. The Open Phil Al Fellowship

This program extends full support to a community of current & incoming PhD students, in any area of AI/ML, who are interested in making the long-term, large-scale impacts of AI a focus of their work.
Who can apply: The Open Phil AI Fellowship is open to full-time AI and machine learning students in any year of their PhD. Anyone who expects to be enrolled in a PhD program in Fall 2020 is welcome to apply.
Support: Support includes a $40,000 per year stipend, payment of tuition and fees, and an additional $10,000 in annual support for travel, equipment, and other research expenses. Fellows will be funded through the end of the 5th year of their PhD, with the possibility of renewal for subsequent years.

Project Connect Student Travel Grant

Overview:
Project Connect will bring together an exceptional group of undergraduate and first-year graduate students to the IEEE conference on a travel grant provided by the National Science Foundation and IEEE. The long term goal of this program is to attract a diverse pool of highly motivated students to the field of microwave engineering. Project Connect is designed to create an opportunity for students to interact with practicing engineers, to learn about the exciting new technologies being developed, and to introduce students to the variety of careers in the area of microwave engineering.
Students who are selected to participate will be awarded a travel grant to attend the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) in Honolulu, Hawaii during June 4-8, 2017.
Conference Agenda:
Specific IMS Connect participants activities include -
Panel sessions with speakers from industry and academia will share their experiences of microwave engineering
Special sessions to assist with professional development skills
Exploring the conference using the Connect MonopolyTM workbook
Share their experiences with a "Through My Eyes" multimedia presentation

The ACE program is recruiting FALL 2017 ACE Peer Mentors, who act as role models to new students' transition to our campus. You will design lesson plans and learn important leadership strategies to guide you through the semester.
