Iʻm from Madrid, Spain but actually I was born in Toronto, Canada. I consider myself a Spaniard. My family and I moved from Spain to Utah 2 years ago.

I teach Spanish at Layton High School in Utah. In the 2017-2018 school year, I will be teaching Spanish 4, Spanish 5, AP Spanish and an upper division class called Breaking down Wall Building Identity. I also teach one Secondary Math II class.

One thing that you should know about me is that I love to work on a team and collaborate with other teachers. I am bad at saying “no” to any interesting project, so I am usually involved in a couple of things at a time.

A key idea that influenced my philosophy of teaching is that I need to be up to date and willing to change strategies, methods, content, etc to succeed in my teaching.

It is important for me to have a positive attitude toward any student that wants to learn even if their abilities are not great.

In my free time, my family and I like outdoors activities such as skiing, camping and hiking. We enjoy travelling and getting together with other Spanish families from the area.
