Iʻm from University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM). I am a faculty specialist in the Assessment Office, coordinating academic program assessment on campus. I earned my Ph.D. degree in Second Language Studies at University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2010.

I once taught English to new immigrants, college students, and professionals. I also taught Chinese at UHM.

One thing that you should know about me is I have experience in task-based language teaching curriculum development and I specialize in language testing and program evaluation.

A key idea or experience that has significantly influenced my philosophy of teaching and learning is that relationship is key. If students see the meaning in what they are learning with real-world application, they will be motivated to learn. If you intentionally build relationship with students, they would want to be successful because of you. To engage your colleagues is to show that you are there for them and you want them to reach success with your support.
