Jennifer's Page

My name is Jennifer Kuo. I live in New York suburb. I currently teach Mandarin Chinese at Horace Greeley High School, Chappaqua, New York. I started teaching in the year of 2000, traveled around weekend Chinese schools, elementary schools after school programs, youth enrichment facilities, and private tutoring. After few years of experience in varying levels and ages, I was teaching at places includes New York University, Hunter College, and Scarsdale HS.

In classroom teaching I tried different ways of approaches. I started to try PBL this year and found it hard to incorporate the language piece into the project, or just did the "dessert" project, which only to reflect the learning but not to learn from it. Coming to the ISI, I am hoping to equip myself with all of the details in doing PBLL. I am looking forward to having a total makeover in the new school year.

Other than teaching, I love reading, watching movies, and gardening.
