With a background and French and American master degrees in History and Historic Preservation, teaching French is a second and more recent career for me. I was born in Paris and I grew up in the South west of France and Eastern France and arrived in Chicago in my early twenties. After living for several years in Manhattan, and Brooklyn, I moved to Montclair, NJ where I currently resides with my three sons, Lucas (16), Matteo (14) and Nico (13). I have been teaching French to Pre-K to third grade students at Montclair Kimberley Academyfor the last four years. I am passionate about teaching French using Comprehensible Input strategies, art, architecture, children books and traveling.

I have discovered PBLL during the webinar and became really interested. I am notably excited to establish connections between PBLL and Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy, that is applied at my school in Pre-K mostly, as well as the possibility of implementing a PBLL using CI strategies. This year, I have implemented a curriculum with my third graders where we discussed in the target language serious topics, including racism, social justice and multiculturalism. During the summer institute, I am hoping to develop a PBLL that I would implement in September with my 2ndgraders, centered around the theme of the Kids United, a manufactured band of children from France who advocate for UNICEF and notably children ‘s rights.
