Bookstore
The Kauai Community College bookstore is a branch of the University of Hawai‘i Bookstore. Students, faculty, staff, and the public are welcome. Besides textbooks and classroom-required supplies, the Bookstore carries a variety of other school supplies, soft drinks, snacks and candies, Kaua‘i CC and University of Hawai‘i clothing and logo souvenir items.
Textbooks orders through the Bookstore are typically due several months into the previous semester--i.e., late March for summer sessions and fall semesters and early October for spring semester. To place a textbook order, use the online system located here (or at http://www.bookstore.hawaii.edu/kauai/Home.aspx > Faculty Adoptions). Faculty need to establish an account to use the system. Do so by contacting the Bookstore.
Instructor’s desk copies are to be requested directly from publishers. Call the Bookstore (of division office assistant) for publisher contact information.
Cafeteria and Fine Dining
Food and beverages are available in the cafeteria located in the Campus Center. It does close when classes are not in session (i.e., winter, spring, and summer recess). Please see here for weekly menu and hours of operation.
The Bookstore also sells pre-packaged meals when the cafeteria is in operation. It also carries an array of snacks and beverages.
The Culinary Program operates a fine dining restaurant. Faculty and staff are welcomed to make reservations. For more information, contact the Business Education Division.
Child Care
Island School runs the Na Pua Keiki preschool on the Kaua‘i Community College campus and provides reserved spots for children of KCC faculty, staff, and students. For more information, call 808-246-0233.
Clerical Support
An office assistant is assigned to each division/unit and all main offices. They provide clerical assistance to faculty and staff. Since they support multiple faculty and staff, please ensure they have ample time to respond to your request.
Computer and Media Services
For assistance with office and classroom computers, connectivity issues, wired and wireless networks, or general IT assistance contact Computer Services by completing a work order form located here (https://sites.google.com/a/hawaii.edu/kauaitechnology/), calling x342 (808-245-8342), or by stopping by their help desk located in the Natural Sciences Building.

Facilities Use
The Operations and Maintenance office is open from Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., contact the Auxiliary Facilities Services Officer at extension x333 (or x364 from 3:00-4:30 p.m.) when encountering problems with facilities or to unlock a classroom or office.
During the regular duty hours, all security problems should be reported to the Campus Public Safety Manager at x393 (or 808-245-8393).
In case of emergencies, call 911 (if using a campus phone dial 9-911) immediately. If it is possible, after calling 911, please alert Campus Safety by dialing x398 or x399 from campus phones or 808-245-8398 or 808-245-8399 from non-campus phones.
There are also seven Code Blue 911 emergency call boxes located on the exterior of the following buildings: Childcare, Campus Center, Electronics, Fine Arts, LRC, OCET, and the new Nursing portables. Each call box has a visible blue beacon above. Upon pressing the red button, you will be automatically transferred to campus security.
To schedule the use of a classroom or other campus facility for an event, check Operations and Maintenance and complete the Facility Use form located in CampusDocs.
Lastly, for maintenance and/or janitorial assistance, contact the Auxiliary Facilities Services Officer at extension x333 (or x364 from 3:00-4:30 p.m.).
Instructional Technology Support

Photocopying
The College has several black and white and color photocopying machines located in the Chancellor's Office (in the One Stop Center) and in the Media Services (MS) workroom (in the Learning Resources Center). Note that high volume copying should be done on the MS workroom copiers.
In order to use these copiers, one must first establish an account with Media Services.
Division secretaries will photocopy items if they are given sufficient notice.
Professional Development Funding
The Ed White fund was established via a trust by Edward T. White, Kauai Community College’s first Provost, to support the Library Collection of American History and Library equipment; visiting professors, lecturers, instructors; Student Employee of the Year Award, funeral and other student aids; professional development; and other projects.
The College provides each of the following eight units $3000 from tuition and fees and $2000 from the Ed White Foundation Fund annually.

All full time faculty and staff are eligible to apply for Ed White funding. If requesting funds from your division/unit allotment, contact your clerical support person to initiate the process. If your division/unit cannot support your request, you can also apply for funding directly from the Ed White Foundation. To do so, complete the Ed White form located in CampusDocs.
Sports and Recreation
Faculty and staff may also sign up to take semester courses in weight training, physical fitness, basketball, and tennis. There is also a basketball goal located on the tennis court for use. To obtain hours of operation for the weight room and tennis courts call x379 (808-245-8379).
Wellness Center
The Wellness Center provides high quality health and wellness care to students, faculty, and staff. Services include general health screening, family planning services, sexually transmitted diseases screening, care of common illnesses, immunizations, TB testing, stress reduction, emotional care, and other health concerns.
All services are confidential and most are offered without charge. Receive announcements of office hours via the online campus bulletin and college-wide mail. Contact the Center at wellness@hawaii.edu or call x307 (808-245-8307) to make an appointment. Walk-ins are also accepted. In an emergency call 911 (9-911 from a campus phone) or go to the nearest emergency room on the island.
