International Café is a place for learning through cultural sharing and respect. Guest presenters and learning circles create unique opportunities for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community leaders to share knowledge and make connections. It is founded on ideals of mutual respect, cultural sharing, peace, well-being, leadership, and "paying it forward." Students learn about leadership and strive to be leaders in their communities and the world community.
Service-Learning is a teaching and learning method that integrates critical reflection and meaningful service in the community with academic learning, personal growth, and civic responsibility. Students form connections between the class lessons and application/practice in the community. It fosters multimodal learning and sense of civic responsibility that carries beyond the classroom to the communities.
