Admission Requirements
Submit a typewritten application that includes:
Name:
Mailing and Street Address
E-mail Address
Phone Number
School presently attending
Attach a 2-3 page typewritten (double-spaced) document responding to the following
questions:
-Write about a person, event, or interest that has influenced your life.
-What are your personal and academic goals for the future?
-Give two reasons for wanting to participate in the Hartford High School Honors Program.
-Explain how your past performance in school, or activities outside of the
academic setting, are a good indicator of your ability to meet the challenges of
the Honors Program.
Additional Documentation
to be Submitted:
Letter from a parent validating a commitment to assist the student in
completing the program
Two academic (teacher) recommendation forms and one non-academic recommendation from an adult
within the community who has worked with you outside of the school

Students will indicate an interest in participating in the Honors Program by
completing an application and agreeing to fulfill the program requirements as listed in the
application
The application window occurs during May each year for interested 9th graders.
