Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications

Expectations:
The Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications Career Cluster focuses on careers in designing, producing, exhibiting, performing, writing, and publishing multimedia content including visual and performing arts and design, journalism, and entertainment services.

Rules:
Be on time, on-task, and prepared to work everyday.
Bring your Chromebook to class everyday.
Be responsible for your own learning.
Respect the teacher, the classroom, and other students.
Abide by the Student Handbook.
Homework: All homework and daily assignments are expected to be returned on time.
Late Assignments: The assignment may be returned within 3 days of the due date for a 70. If turned in on the 4th day after the due date the max score received would be a 50. If turned in after the 5th day the assignment would not be accepted and be recorded as a 0.
Absences: A student that is out with an excused absence will have the same number of days missed to make up the work, then they will follow the above protocol. An unexcused absence would have the student following the above protocol immediately.
Online Learners: Students must check in daily and complete assignments in order to be counted present for attendance. The same late assignment policy applies to online learners.
Discipline: All Major infractions will result in being sent to the office with a referral.
Minor infractions or violations of classroom rules will follow the procedures below:
1st Infraction - Warning
2nd Infraction - Parent contact
3rd Infraction - Parent contact and consequence
4th Infraction - Office referral
Grades: There will be a minimum of 15 daily grades and 3 test/project grades per six weeks.
Daily Grades including homework, in-class assignments, and quizzes- 50%
Tests/Projects- 50%
