DISTANCE LEARNING UPDATE!

3/24/2020 update : There are handwriting and read aloud packets available at the intermediate office. The MTA teachers are working on getting a different dyslexia program that has an online component to use during this time of distance learning. I will get everyone information as it becomes available!

I miss seeing all my students' faces everyday and the MTA program that we use is a teacher/student face to face teaching approach so this is going to be a bit difficult. If we have a prolonged amount of time with no school I will be coming up with something digital for my students!

The most important thing to do though is READ, READ, READ!! The best way is to have your child read aloud to you as much as possible. This helps them hear their mistakes and have someone available to correct them when needed. I posted the link to Epic books that can be accessed online. If your student would like some hard copy books please email me at jenkinsa@harmonyisd.net or call me at (903)576-4399 and I will meet you at the school to let your student pick out a book from my shelf!

The class code for Epic books is ryr3341. There are many AR books on this website as well as other literacy tools. The school has opened AR to be used at home so please keep taking tests to work on comprehension. If you or your child has a device but no internet service you may drive up to any of the school buildings and connect to our access points as a guest.
