About

Mrs. Shipp

I was born and raised in Hondo, Texas, a small town west of San Antonio. Growing up I always knew I wanted to work with children in some capacity. Both my parents were educators, so it was no surprise that I chose a career in education.

I attended college at Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

After college, I began work in Hondo ISD. Shortly after, I moved and began working at Midway ISD, and a year later, we moved to Georgetown ISD due to my husband’s job. I taught there for several years. After we had our first child, Kennedy, we moved back to the area to be near my husband’s family. I worked at Kilgore ISD for two years, before I took the position at Harmony. This is my ninth year at Harmony Intermediate and I am looking forward to another wonderful year!

My husband, Jordan, and I live in Gilmer. We have four children, Kennedy, Sawyer, Campbell and Chandler. Kennedy turned ten in February and will be in fifth grade and Sawyer is six years and will be in first grade at Harmony. Our twin girls turned three in February and will be going to daycare near Harmony.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the year. I think it is essential that parents and teachers communicate.
