2013: Nature's Fury Challenge

NH State Championship:

Team TWACA (Team with a Cool Acronym) and Team Disaster Waiting to Happen competed in Saturday's NH state championship along with 48 other teams. Team TWACA earned the 1st Place Award for Core Values /Inspiration. The new trophy has been placed in the main lobby display case.

2012: Senior Solutions Challenge

At the Dartmouth Regional Tournament:

Team Fibonacci Four earned the 2nd Place Champions Award (for excellence in robot design, robot performance, research and core values). Team members are Liam A., Caffrey F., Martin S., and Avery W.

Team Whippersnappers earned the 1st Place Research Award (for the outstanding research project and presentation of the tournament). Team members include Jack B., Matt F., Nick H., Maxwell L., Daniel P., Clayton P., Danny R., Megan S., Jack S., and Liam S.

Team TWACA (Team with a Cool Acronym) earned the 2nd Place Robot Performance Award and was runner-up in the Tournament of Champions mission challenge. Noah C., Clay G., John H., David NP, Dima S., Alex W., Matt W., Daniel W., Ruxi Z. and Joe Z. are members of Team TWACA.

Team VS-6 earned the 2nd Place Core Values Award (for excellence in team work, cooperation, competition and gracious professionalism). Team VS-6 includes Lily C., Julia G., Jasmine L., Silke M., Diana S. and Lois S.

2011:Food Factor Challenge (Teams explored the topic of food safety and" examined the possible points of contamination our food encounters--from exposure to insects and creatures, to unsterile processing and transportation, and to unsanitary preparation and storage". Each team found ways to prevent or combat these contaminants).

At the Dartmouth Regional Tournament:

All three of our teams headed to the NH State Championship on December 3rd.

Team Germ Busters: 2nd Place Champions Award ( for excellent in research, teamwork, robot design and mission completion); 1st place Robot Design

Team TWACA: 1st Place Programming; placed 4th overall.

Team Panda Pepper People: placed 3rd overall.

2010:Body Forward Challenge: Engineering Meets Medicine.

At the Dartmouth Regional Tournament:

Team Builder Droids received the Innovative Solution Award for their Research Project. Team members include: Liam A., Caffrey F., Dan F., Finn H., John H., Arturo J., Morgan M., Kamron P., Martin S. and Daniel W.

Team Body Builders earned a 1st Place for their Research Project and a 2nd Place for Robot Performance. Hee-Un K., Rui Z.,, Glenn S., Kiely S-M., Dima S., Owen V. and Joe Z. are members of this team.

Team L.E.G.O. (Legendary Elite Genius Organization) earned the “silver robot”, the 2nd Place Champions Award, for team excellence in all categories. Team members include: Zac C., Liam C., Max G., Connor K., Jack O., Fletcher P., Alex T. and Hunter W.

Team Sasquatch received the “golden robot”, the 1st Place Champions Award for team excellence in all categories. Daniel O., Davey S., Caleb W., James W., Tim W., Ruxi Z. and Rujing Z. are members of this team.

At the NH State Championship, Team Sasquatch also earned the "Additive/Subtractive Judges' Award."

According to the judge that presented this award to the team, the "subtractive" portion of this award is for the innovative technical design of a modular attachment the team used for multiple missions that allowed the team to perform a mission, simply remove a portion of the attachment, run another mission, remove some more, etc. The judge stated that most teams add on attachments to the robot; they do not remove things. Thus, the "subtractive" portion of the award.

The "additive" portion was awarded for the team's positive approach to the Teamwork and Project competitions. Specifically mentioned, was their motto during the teamwork judging, "We treat other teams/team members as we would like to be treated."

2009: Smart Move Challenge

Congratulations to the three RMS Robotics teams that competed in Saturday's regional robotics tournament at Dartmouth College. All three RMS teams will advance to the state championships on December 6th, a first in RMS Robotics history.

Team RoboSquids earned first place in the Research Category. Team members are Rohan K., Devin R., Charles J., Christopher S. and Davey S.

Team Gigabotz took the second place Champions Award. They performed well in robot design, robot performance, research and teamwork. Members of team Gigabotz are Caleb W.,

Lee D., Rujing Z., Daniel O. and Karthik G.

Team Legendary Genius Organization earned the second place award in the Research Category. Connor K., Liam C., Jack O., Zac C.,

Tobias R., and James H. are members of this team.

Congratulations to our three RMS Robotics teams that successfully competed in the State Lego Championships this past Sunday, December 6, in Bedford, NH. More than 50 teams competed, with the RMS teams finishing in the middle of the pack. Special thanks to our parent coaches Christina Cook, Curt Koehler, Xiolan Guan, Mary Beth Stocken and Mark Winberry.
