About Me

I am a New Englander at heart. I grew up in Connecticut, attended undergraduate college in Maine, and have lived and worked throughout Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire. After teaching in alternative residential schools and sea kayak guiding, I moved to the Upper Valley in 2003 to work at various local non-profits. My love of teaching and education led me to leave the Upper Valley for a year to be a Teaching Fellow at Smith College where I received my M.Ed in Education and Child Study. I did not stay away from the Upper Valley for long though and returned to teach 6th grade math and social studies in Hartford, VT. During my eight years at Hartford, I completed a C.A.S. (M. Ed) in Curriculum and Instruction from the Vermont Math Initiative through UVM and moved into a Teacher Leader role. I am excited to start my second year teaching 5th and 6th grade math at Marion Cross School!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, Brian, our son, Benjamin, and our dog, Daisy. I also love to cook, travel, and read.
