What to expect from a CCHS dance class:
1. We dance Monday -Thursday, students are expected to dress out everyday! Mrs. Henry gives you the option of purchasing a leotard, ballet shoes, and skin tone tights from her at the beginning of the semester. Without a doctors note there is no excused reason to not dress out.
2. Fridays are reserved for continuing our education in anatomy, kinesiology (movement science), dance history, and vocabulary. Dancers take notes on their chrome book. PLEASE NOTE: any chrome book foolishness while result in elimination of chrome book privileges in the dance studio.
3. Student choreography is a huge part of the curriculum at CCHS and all dancers are required to come up with their own movement.
The levels of dance offered at Camden County High School are Dance 1 (no dance experience) Intermediate Dance 2-4 (must pass dance 1 or audition) and Advanced Dance which is audition only 10th-12th grade. If you are new to CCHS and have prior training email Chenry@camden.k12.ga.us to discuss an opt out audition.
