Mission Statement
Our goal for the year is to learn to read and think as writers. We will build skills to communicate our ideas more effectively as we write poetry, narratives, and informational and argumentative texts. Speaking, listening, and collaboration with classmates will play a large role in class. I look forward to a great year together!

About the Teacher
I came to Rosemont in the fall of 2004. At Rosemont, I have taught both English 7 and 8 as well as Digital Photography. My other roles at school include CJSF Advisor and Rainbow Gems Advisor.
Before coming to Glendale USD, I taught English Intervention at Gabrielino High School in San Gabriel, California. I attended Scripps College in Claremont, California where I studied Studio Art and Photography then earned my credential and a Master's Degree in Education from Claremont Graduate University in 2003.
When I'm not teaching, I like to spend time with my husband and kids, knit, grow vegetables, snowshoe, practice yoga, complete crossword puzzles, read novels, and take photographs.
"If I wanted a life filled with non-stop excitement and challenge, I should not choose the life of a detective. High-wire acrobatics, perhaps, or teaching twelve-year-olds, or motherhood, but not detecting."
