Programs Offered

K-12 Environmental Education Program - The K-12 environmental education programs are designed through a balanced approach of attempting to meet K-12 teacher’s needs in the classroom and introducing students to the research and stewardship activities at the Reserve. The education program’s philosophy is that students, while onsite, are immersed in experimental, problem-based learning opportunities that focus on the scientific process. The education program introduces the concept of digital literacy into student field investigations. In addition to teaching students responsible ways to utilize technology for research, we provide students with equipment relevant to what field science professionals utilize.
