This year begins my 28th year working for Greenville County Schools...time sure does fly! I taught second and third grades at Blythe Academy before moving into administration. Prior to coming to Stone, I worked at Hughes Academy and Monaview Elementary. It's hard to believe that I have been at Stone for 12 years. It's been a gift to be able to work with the incredible staff, students, and families in this school community. I feel quite fortunate to have had such wonderful experiences in Greenville County.
I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Language and International Trade. I had the amazing opportunity to attend school in Salamanca, Spain during the summer of 1992 and was able to attend the World Expo, the Running of the Bulls, and the Olympics. After living in Atlanta for a brief period, I returned to Greenville and attended Furman University. I received my teaching certificate, Master of Arts and Education Specialist degrees from Furman.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, socializing with family and friends, and attending Clemson football and basketball games. I have had the good fortune of traveling within the United States and abroad and love to do so when time permits. I have two wonderful nephews, Matthew and Elliott, who still enjoy traveling with me. Our family is very close and we love spending time together.
If I can ever be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me via phone (864-355-8410) or e-mail (sshouse@greenville.k12.sc.us). I look forward to continuing my work with the Stone family.
