Marine Biology is the study of life and living organisms found within bodies of water, from the smallest bacteria to giant kelp beds. Biologist's make observations and perform experiments to gain an understanding about the natural world around them. Some of the branches of marine biology that we will be studying this year include: cell biology, biotechnology, ecology, plate tectonics, evolutionary biology, and oceanography.
