I am a product of our wonderful Greenville County Schools. I attended Mitchell Road Elementary for 5th grade, Greenville Middle, Eastside High, and the Fine Arts Center. After graduation, I attended Clemson and then took a break to teach dancing. One and a half years later, I decided my true desire was to teach elementary school. So, I went back to school and earned my certification in Early Childhood from USC Spartanburg. A short time later, I earned my Masters in Elementary Education. After my retirement in 2022, I spent a year substitute teaching and caring for my elderly parents. In 2023, I earned my gifted and talented endorsement and am currently in my 3rd year of teaching challenge part time.
My first opportunity to teach was at Augusta Circle Elementary. I joined Oakview's team in 1996. I have taught in a computer lab setting, 4th grade, and 3rd grade.
My children, Kristen and Logan, both attended Oakview. My interests include outdoor activities, making cards, and attending performing arts productions, being a Grandma!
