How Can I Help My Child Succeed In School?

• · Read everyday! Take turns reading to your child or have your child read to you, asking questions to help promote comprehension skills.

• Be positive, speaking well of school and learning. Encourage your child to talk about all the fun things they have done or are going to do at school.

• Create a consistent afterschool routine including meal times, homework time and play time.

• Ensure your child is getting plenty of sleep and is ready for school.

• Encourage your child in all aspects of academics, praising them both in their success and efforts.

• Teach your child to be responsible for their actions and take pride in all they do.

• Stay involved! If interested inquire about volunteering in the classroom or about ways to support your child’s learning at home.

• Communicate! Keep in regular contact with me.

Como puedo ayudar a mi hijo a tener exito en la escuela?

• Ser positivo. Hablando bien de la escuela y el aprendizaje. Aliente a su hijo que hable de las cosas divertidas que ha hecho en la escuela o las cosas que va hacer.

• Asegurese que su hijo esta durmiendo lo suficiente y que este listo para la escuela.

• Aliente a su hijo en todos los aspdectos academicos, dandole animo en todo su exito como en su esfuerzos.

• Enseñar a su hijo a ser responsable de su acciones y se enorgullecen de todo lo que hacen.

• Involucrese! Si esta interesado, pregunte sobre oportunidades de ayudar en la clase o en maneras de apoyar el aprendizaje de su hijo en casa.

• Communicase! Mantenga el contacto regular con la maestra.
