Classroom Expectations
Greenville County Schools’ Child Development Centers utilize Conscious Discipline as a framework to support students in their understanding and managing of their emotions through teachings related to problem solving and self-regulation. Explicit social and emotional instruction will teach students that the teacher’s job is to keep them safe, and their job is to help the teacher keep their school family safe.
Please do not send toys or tablets to school with your student.

Attendance
Every school day is important. Arriving at school on time supports our students’ development of healthy, positive school habits. It also assists students in maintaining their established routines, supporting their regulation. Students arriving to school late disrupts their learning and the learning of others. If your family is experiencing a difficulty that is impacting student attendance, please reach out to me for support.
Student drop-off is between 7:15 am and 7:45 am. Any student arriving after this time will need to be walked into the office and signed in.
Student reunion is between 2:15 pm and 2:30 pm.
All parents must have a dismissal tag to retrieve their student in the car pick-up line and off the bus. This can be a paper tag or a tag pulled up in the Parent Backpack. If these are not available, a parent or authorized adult must bring a photo ID to the front office to retrieve the student.
Breakfast and Lunch
All students are provided with free breakfast and lunch for the 2024/2025 school year. Lunch menus are available on the Greenville County School Food and Nutrition website or by CLICKING HERE.
Breakfast is available to students between 7:15 am and 9:00 am, and to all bus riders upon arrival. If your student is being dropped off at school after 9:00 am they will not be provided breakfast.
Parent Procedures
Sending Money to School
All money sent to school must be in a sealed envelope with the student’s name, teacher’s name, amount, and purpose written on it.
Changes to Phone Number or Address
If your phone number changes, please notify the teacher immediately. We must be able to contact you in the event of an emergency.
If your address changes, please bring two proofs of residence from your new address to the front office. This will ensure your student’s files are sent to the correct elementary school. If you are moving out of our transportation zone and require busing, please let me know.
